The photo above is of a miniature version of “Open Mind” by Orla de Bri. “Open Mind” is 16ft tall pyramid shaped sculpture made of solid bronze and stands at the Stephen’s Green end of Grafton Street. It will remain there till August 1st when it will be replaced. This project is being run by the Solomon Gallery, Dublin City Arts Office and Dublin County Council.

A solo exhibition of Orla De Bri’s work will open in the Solomon Gallery on March 6th this year.
Above is a still from an animated film by South African artist William Kentridge. An exhibition of William Kentridge’s work is currently on view in the RHA Gallery. The exhibition will run until March 5th and is highly recommended.

Finally we heard through the grapevine that our favourite place to mope around The Winding Stair bookshop and café is set to reopen next month. Can it possibly be true? Well lets just wait with breath held in pensive expectation.

Comments:
Is this replacing the Lady Hare and Dog thing? Really didn't like that, but I'll have to wander down that way on my walk home this evening and take a look at this sculpture

Hello Fence, yes this is replacing the Hare and Dog, and will itself be replaced in six months time

I saw it the other day at the top of Grafton Street, and thought it a beautiful piece of work.
